explanation of conflict

Wed Sep 21, 2005, 8:37 PM
Conflict comes from man’s natural instinct to rebel and obey. The struggle for power requires the aggressor to have followers who obey and those who are being attacked must rebel against being oppressed. Peace can be achieved only when all city states (or nations of the world) are unified under one ruler (or panel of rulers). Once peace is achieved there will still be a power struggle; who is the ruler of the unified world. The internal struggle to decide the world ruler will be between two or more persons because there will be many people who are deemed ‘fit’ to rule the world. Each of these persons will have followers (those who obey) and the opposed candidates with their followers (those who rebel).

socal as a country?
:blahblah:
i think southern california is like it's own seperate country, it really is very much different than the rest of the US. i think that since hollywood is in socal, the media reflects life in socal on a mainstream level so it's possible that most people here dont realize how different so cal is from the rest of the us/world.

just my random thoughts, feel free to chime in on any specific examples of differences or similarities
